At the end of your unique experience volunteering on one of the local islands, you may want to experience the other side of the Maldives! As a top tourist destination, but sometimes out of the price range for many people, we can assist you with finding reasonably cost accommodation on a resort, or we can arrange a cruise around the Atolls, so you can unwind and enjoy many facilities on offer. Often we can arrange this at a discounted cost for you. This is a great way to finish your program and gives you time to reflect on all you’ve achieved! For those of you wishing to venture further afield, Sri Lanka and India are only an hours’ flight away from the Maldives, and we’ll be happy to assist you with your onward travel plans.

Volunteer Programs for 2011 will include teaching in Sri Lanka, and helping out with community projects. Volunteers will be able to take a dual centre volunteer program, combining both the Maldives and Sri Lanka – we’ll let you know more shortly, but in the meantime, please do email if you are interested in finding out more!

Sri Lanka is a diverse country, which will have you elephant watching in the jungle one day, and hiking in the misty Knuckles Mountain range the next! It is an easy country to get around, and during your weekends and time off, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to investigate! We can arrange accommodation or tours taking in the main points of interest for you during your time in Sri Lanka. One incredible and unmissable event during November to April is the Whale migration from Dondra Point, in the south of the country. We can arrange this magical Whale Watching experience for you – please ask for further details!
