Your volunteering program in the Maldives you’ll find challenging, rewarding, and inspirational! However, it’s not all work!

The weekends in the Maldives are Friday and Saturday – you’ll find as you make new friends on the island, you’ll have numerous invitations to picnics on deserted islands, night fishing trips, snorkeling adventures, dinners and afternoon teas! Island living is pretty simple, with the locals making the most of what Mother Nature has to offer! A short dinghy trip to an uninhabited island could easily reveal a giant manta ray, or a large group of gorgeous spinner dolphins!

Most of the islands have sports going on in the evenings you’ll be very welcome to join in with, and various clubs and debates to get involved in!

Holiday Activities

After your volunteering experience, you may want to sample a bit of tourist life!  We have a large network in the Maldives and work actively in the tourism sector. It may be possible to help you book a few days on a tourist resort – much of the time our volunteers are given preferential rates but it does depend on the availability and can only be confirmed a week or so beforehand.

Alternatively, you may wish to spread your wings a little further and experience what neighbouring Sri Lanka has to offer!  The island is a mere hour’s flight away and is an exotic diverse country with stunning landscapes, tropical beaches and a fascinating cultural history. Contact us for more information of how you can extend your stay in the Indian Ocean!
